This is totally off topic and has absolutley nothing to do with real estate but I wanted to share this anyways as I wish I knew this earlier myself.
In my teen years and for most of my 20’s my skin was beautiful and blemish free. All of a sudden in my late 20’s and into my 30’s I began to struggle with light acne and also some cystic acne. I went the to dermatologist who prescribed creams and lotions which just irritated my already sensitive skin even further. I was really frustrated and basically gave up on my skin until …(and here is the good news for those of you who can’t seem to figure out what is causing that cystic acne) I cut dairy out of my diet- and I’m talking cold turkey! No more pizza ( ugh – Hawaiian was my fav!), no more yoghurt, and I made the switch to almond milk for my cereal and tea in the morning. Just by making this small but very tough change (I love cheese!) in my diet, the cystic acne seems to have subsided. Now what to do with those scars left behind?
I’ve never really been one to pamper myself at the spa and but after doing some online research I reached out to Jeena at The Porcelain Room at 577 Queen St West in Toronto to tackle the scars. So far, she’s done 4 sessions with me and I already see an improvement in my skin.
I don’t usually recommend services like this but Jeena is amazing! Each appointment is about and hour and a half long – and each time I have a quick nap at some point throughout the process. The music, aromas and decor really put you in a relaxed state. The first time you meet with Jeena she does an assessment with you in terms of the products you currently use and your diet. She uses a holistic approach so she explains how diet is very important in improving the skin. She even sends you home with a hand written note on ways you can improve your skin on an every day basis ( i.e. drink lemon water first thing in the morning). It’s funny to say but Jeena is so attentive and cares! She actually cares. After my first treatment she emailed me with a followup to see how my skin reacted.
If you are looking for a great facial then give the Porcelain Room a go. The Porcelain Room also does eyelash extensions and waxing but I can’t comment on those services. I am in no way affiliated with the Porcelain Room – I simply want to give credit where it is due.
