CityPlace and Lakeshore West Residents rejoice! Demolition at the old heritage Daily Bread Food Bank building at Lakeshore and Bathurst has begun. Originally built in 1928, the building was the head office and warehouse for Loblaws.
The building has been vacant and boarded up since 2000 and will be replaced with a brand spanking new Loblaws, two condo towers and about 100,000 sq ft of retail. Retail will include a restaurant, pharmacy, clothing store and a wine store making this an exciting new addition to the community.
Just to the North of the new Loblaws, will be the two condo towers known as The LakeShore Towers, built by Concord Adex. The towers will be 37 and 41 storeys high and will be separated by a courtyard with a pool area.
